Meet Our Change Makers
Our team’s background is rooted in hands-on experience at organizations like the University of Toronto and Gameloft, where we gained valuable skills working on projects tied to global brands such as LEGO and Ghostbusters. Today, we bring that same expertise to our own clients, past and present, including Badger Trust, ACFI, Wellington North Township, Feel Alive Wellness Station, and many more. With a blend of big-brand insight and local community focus, we’re committed to delivering creative, impactful results for every project.

The Boss
Debby Keown
Professional Bio
Debby Keown brings extensive experience in project management, community engagement, and event leadership. Debby spent over 13 years with the Master of Forensic Accounting Program at the University of Toronto, where she helped launch its online learning platform, develop courses, support instructors, and organize the international Capstone event. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Association of Certified Forensic Investigators of Canada (ACFI), leading their annual conference with the support of the KMI team, and also has years of experience at Hydro One. Debby has a proven track record of creating and leading impactful community initiatives. She founded the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, partnered with David Crombie’s office to open the Waterfront Trail, and has managed events ranging from large-scale gatherings of 125,000 attendees to intimate community functions. She also founded the first Port Credit Community Newspaper, achieving a distribution of 35,000.

Personal Note
Outside of work, Debby is basically the definition of “small-town famous.” She’s on the board of the local curling club, teaching seniors fitness with VON, and getting dangerously close to knowing everyone in town. When she’s not sweeping the ice, she’s perfecting her backhand in pickleball, taking painting classes, or spoiling her three grandpuppies rotten.
2nd in Command
Kris Keown
Professional Bio
Kris began her career running her own marketing agency abroad, where she led marketing for The Badger Trust and developed the professional appearances website for Paul Sr. of Orange County Choppers, among many other projects. She later joined Gameloft, launching LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed (now owned by Netflix) in partnership with global brands like LEGO and Ghostbusters. Her marketing expertise also supported companies such as Sheet Happens Publishing before she transitioned into the field of Anti-Money Laundering, working as an AML & Cryptocurrency Analyst with The AML Shop. Today, Kris enjoys channeling her creativity and experience into local projects including Hawks Nest, the Wellington North Community Guide, The Yellow Brick Guest House and Feel Alive Wellness Station.

Personal Note
Outside of work, Kris can usually be found kickboxing her way through stress, wrangling her tiny Chihuahua and massive Rottweiler (a true odd couple), or negotiating with her very proper British cat, who’s just tolerating everyone. She has a serious passion for interior design and loves when she gets to sneak that creative flair into her projects. When she’s not doing any of that, you’ll probably spot her at her favourite local café, downing enough coffee to power a small village—and calling it “creative fuel.”

Social Media Content Manager
Savannah Savone
Professional Bio
Savannah is a media producer and designer based in Toronto with experience in film, digital media, and community-focused storytelling. She has produced projects ranging from independent short films to larger-scale web series, including 1-800-THE-VOID, a surrealist pilot episode developed with full sponsorships and a multi-day shoot. Her work also extends into journalism and design through partnerships with organizations like The Green Line, where she creates campaigns, graphics, and events that highlight diverse local voices. With a strong background in production logistics, creative problem-solving, and visual design, Savannah thrives at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. She’s currently working as a Social Media Content Manager at KMI, where she combines her background in media production and design with strategic content planning to support the agency’s roster of clients.
Personal Note
When she’s not producing, Savannah is probably at the movies drowning popcorn in butter like it’s an Olympic sport, wandering through Toronto’s art scene, or daydreaming about her next trip. She also has a very spoiled shih tzu who thinks he runs the show (and honestly, he might).
